The city of Gandia has opened registrations for the 1st Gandia Pride Window Display Contest, an initiative seeking to involve local businesses in promoting visibility, equality, and diversity.

This competition, driven by Independence Gay Associació, the Department of Equality of Gandia City Council, and the Gandia Merchants Association, invites establishments to decorate their shop windows with Pride themes and values of inclusion and respect. The event's motto is “Your window display also changes perspectives”.
Interested businesses can formalize their registrations until May 10 through the electronic headquarters of Gandia City Council. Participating window displays will be exhibited to the public from May 11 to May 24.

"The organizing entities seek with this measure to involve the city's commercial fabric in the Pride celebration and turn window displays into visible spaces of support for diversity and coexistence."

A specialized jury will evaluate creativity, originality, and the ability to convey a positive message committed to equality. The verdict will be announced on May 18. The established cash prizes are 400 euros for the first place, 300 euros for the second, and 200 euros for the third.
The awards ceremony will take place on May 23 on the main stage of Gandia Pride, located at Moll dels Borja. Participants may use both Valencian and Spanish in their window display decorations.
