The 24-hour Crisis Center in Castellón de la Plana has provided assistance to 103 women victims of sexual violence since its inception, as part of a regional network that has assisted 478 women in the Valencian Community.

Since becoming operational, the 24-hour Crisis Center in Castellón de la Plana has offered support to 103 women who have experienced sexual violence. In the first half of the year, the facility assisted 32 victims, adding to the 478 women who have received care within the regional network of the Valencian Community.
The first vice-president and Minister of Housing, Employment, Youth, and Equality, Susana Camarero, has highlighted the necessity and utility of these professional resources for victim protection. The Generalitat operates three free, public, comprehensive care centers in Alicante, Castellón de la Plana, and València, available 24 hours a day.
The Castellón center assisted 71 women during the previous year. In the first half of this year, the figure rose to 32 victims, contributing to a regional total of 170 women assisted during this period. Camarero emphasized the importance of specialized resources and committed professionals to support victims of sexual assault.
These centers provide psychological, social, and legal support, without requiring a prior report. They also offer information and accompaniment to victims' families and their close circle, and can facilitate referrals to police, health, judicial, and social services when necessary. The dedicated helpline is 900 22 00 22.
The Generalitat has expanded the care network with six new resources, including the three Crisis Centers and the 14-hour Women's Center in Elche. Additionally, two residential centers have been established for victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation, increasing available places. The goal is to consolidate a network offering protection and confidence to victims throughout the Valencian Community.
