The government of Gandia, formed by PSPV-PSOE and Compromís Més Gandia, has shown its support for the manifesto defending public Valencian education and the demands put forward by the educational community.

The text, which will be submitted to the municipal council as an institutional position of the City Council, highlights the need to strengthen the public Valencian education system in response to the increasing educational, social, and emotional needs of students, as well as the growing complexity faced by educational centers.
The municipal government emphasizes the importance of public education as a fundamental tool for social cohesion, equal opportunities, and collective progress, while also recognizing the work carried out by educational centers and their professionals in addressing diversity and inclusion.
The manifesto reflects the shared concern of the educational community regarding issues such as increased student-teacher ratios, reduction in human resources, difficulties in covering substitute positions, and the growing bureaucratic burden on educational centers. In this regard, the local government considers it a priority to move towards an educational model with sufficient resources, capable of offering personalized and quality attention to students.
Furthermore, the manifesto calls for the restoration of dialogue and negotiation spaces between the Generalitat Valenciana, the Conselleria d’Educació (Regional Ministry of Education), and representatives of the educational community, with the aim of reaching effective, scheduled agreements with guarantees of compliance.
Among the proposed agreements is the institutional support of the Gandia City Council for the demands of the Valencian educational community, requesting specific measures to reduce class sizes, strengthen teaching and specialized staff, expedite substitute placements, and reduce the bureaucracy undertaken by educational centers.
The government of Gandia also reaffirms its commitment to defending public, inclusive, and quality education, understood as an essential element for ensuring equal opportunities and strengthening social cohesion in the city and throughout the Comunitat Valenciana.
