The 51st edition of the Gandia International Fideuà Contest has confirmed record participation, with chefs from seven countries, solidifying the global projection of this emblematic Valencian dish.

The organization of the 51st Gandia International Fideuà Contest continues to progress, following the public draw for participants from Gandia and the Valencian Community. This process has once again highlighted the high interest in the gastronomic event, which this year stands out for unprecedented international participation.
Chefs from countries such as Mexico, Italy, Ireland, France (including the island of Guadeloupe), Colombia, Puerto Rico, and New Zealand will be part of this call. This geographical diversity strengthens the external projection of Gandia's fideuà, making this edition the most global to date.

"It has been a success in terms of registration. We have reached a record number of international participants."

the president of the Gandia Fideuà Gastronomic Association
In addition to the international contingent, local and national participants will join, along with the finalist of the fideuà contest held in Asturias, thus completing a diverse list of aspirants. The association's leadership has emphasized its commitment to the local fabric, highlighting efforts to include more restaurants from Gandia, recognizing their importance as a benchmark in fideuà preparation.
Regarding the Valencian Community, the restaurants selected in the draw were Arrocería Mornell (El Palmar), Puerta del Mar and Binhui Food (València), Asador Alfabega (Alginet), and La Solera (Daimús). In the local area of Gandia, L’Ham, Isabel Playa restaurant, El Globo, Hotel Safari, and Casa José will participate, with two reserves for each block.

"Gastronomy is a fundamental pillar of our promotion. We have more registered participants than available spots, which demonstrates the good moment our gastronomy is experiencing."
