The city of Gandia will host the institutional Women's Day event on Thursday, April 16, in the Plaza Mayor, after being postponed on March 6 due to adverse weather conditions, with a program starting at 10 AM.

The event, which this year is held under the slogan “rights are untouchable,” will begin at 10:00 AM with a joint performance of the song Estima't by various educational centers, followed by a symbolic release of balloons.
Next, two young representatives from the Corresponsals program will read the manifesto, symbolizing the commitment of new generations to equality. This gesture highlights youth involvement in the fight for a more just society.
During the event, awards will also be presented for contests organized for 8M. These include the school banner contest, the shop window contest —aimed at showcasing local businesses' commitment to equality— and the micro-story contest, linked to the Women's Race.
Additionally, Auna Inclusión will present the manifesto of the decalogue for women with disabilities, reinforcing values of inclusion, respect, and equity in society. The institutional closing is scheduled for around 11:00 AM.

"The delegated Councillor for Equality, Maribel Codina, has called on all citizens to participate in this commemoration and continue advancing towards a more just and egalitarian city, where machismo has no place."
