The scientific conference, organized by the Emergency Department of the Francesc de Borja University Hospital and the Cardiac Arrhythmias and Syncope Group of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES), took place on Friday at a local hotel.
During the symposium, key advancements in the management of atrial fibrillation and syncope in Emergency services were addressed. The event featured prominent national specialists in cardiology, arrhythmias, hematology, and emergency medicine.
Topics covered included anticoagulation in fragile and complex patients, the relationship between atrial fibrillation and heart failure, new rhythm control strategies, and the importance of electrocardiograms, as well as the role of nurses in Emergency departments.

The meeting was attended by the mayor of Gandia, who highlighted the city's ability to attract major professional and scientific events related to health and innovation.
