El Real de Gandia Celebrates 5th Senior Citizens' Cultural Week with Activities

The Department of Culture has organized a special program from May 25 to 29, including workshops, traditional games, and a closing dinner.

The City Council of El Real de Gandia, through its Department of Culture, has prepared a special program for the 5th Senior Citizens' Cultural Week, which will take place from May 25 to 29 with various activities.

Among the most notable activities for the Senior Citizens' Week are craft workshops on May 25 and 26, as well as a memory workshop on May 28. These activities aim to foster participation and well-being among the elderly residents of the town.
Additionally, on the afternoon of May 26, there will be board games at the Retirees' Home, followed by a popular snack for all participants. On May 27, a gymnastics activity with music will be held in the upper hall of the same home, also with a snack for attendees.
On May 28, in addition to the morning memory workshop, the afternoon will be dedicated to organizing traditional games such as petanque, birles, and canut, starting at 6:00 PM. These activities promote social interaction and physical exercise.
The week will culminate on May 29 with the activity “La Gent Gran Camina” (The Elderly Walk), which will start at 9:00 AM from the Plaça de la Llibertat, followed by breakfast for participants. In the evening, starting at 9:30 PM, there will be a dinner and the closing ceremony of the cultural week with the comedy show by Charly Show at the Polyvalent Space “La Tiimbradora”.
