A couple was rescued on Les Tres Creus mountain in Tavernes de la Valldigna after losing their way and becoming trapped in a steep area, thanks to the rapid response of emergency services.

The rescue operation began after receiving an alert from the 112 Emergency Coordination Center, reporting that two people could not descend the mountain, finding themselves in a steep area and unable to find a safe path. Following the alert, three Local Police patrols were dispatched to the scene to begin the search.
The complex terrain and lack of light hindered the efforts, so one of the officers deployed a drone to survey the area and pinpoint the couple's exact location. Given the access risk, officers requested helicopter support, which ultimately could not take off due to lack of daylight. Officers maintained visual contact and constant communication with the couple to reassure them.
Thanks to the drone, the couple was visually guided towards a safer path to ensure their safety while the teams advanced in their search. Civil Protection and the Provincial Fire Consortium joined the efforts around 9:20 PM.
Their assistance allowed the physical rescue to be completed without personal injuries, securing the young people in a very difficult-to-access area. The Local Police of Tavernes de la Valldigna highlighted the swift action of the officers and the importance of using such technologies, like drones.

"Drones are indispensable elements that make a difference in emergency management to guarantee the safety of both citizens and the personnel involved."
