The league, which kicked off last November with the Mola Extrem de Favara trail, concluded last weekend in the town of Xàtiva. Featuring a total of eight events and both trail sprint and long trail modalities, this competition has established itself as a meeting point for trail enthusiasts from the La Safor region and neighboring areas.
The Gandia club outperformed Sutrail de Sueca and Senglars de Favara clubs in both categories, demonstrating its superiority in the competition. This triumph underscores the hard work and dedication of its members throughout the season.
Individually, notable achievements include the absolute victory in the sprint modality by athlete Reyes Moreno, with her teammate Maribel Caro in second place. In the men's category, Fernando Llacer secured second place in the individual overall. Other club members such as Carlos Pascual (fourth), Alex Pastor (sixth), Miguel Valles (fourteenth), Vicent Gregori (sixteenth), and Mari Tere Montes (twentieth) also contributed significantly to the club's victory with their consistency and strong performance.
Now, the Club Atletisme Gandia Alepsa is preparing for the upcoming weekend, where it will participate in the Spanish Trail Championship for Clubs. This event will take place in Palencia and will include vertical climb and short trail modalities, where they aim to continue their successful streak.
