The award ceremony will take place at 7:30 PM at the Municipal Auditorium in Beniarjó. This award, endowed with €3,500 and the publication of the winning work, is recognized as one of the most important in Valencian Literature.
This year, a total of 16 original poetry collections are competing for the prize. Of these, 10 are by Valencian authors, 5 by Catalan authors, and 1 from the Balearic Islands.
The event will be opened by the Culture Councilor, Concha Germán, and closed by the Mayor, Óscar Barres. Journalist and poet Susanna Lliberós will act as the master of ceremonies, and pianist Alba Montagut Serrano, a member of the “Ausiàs March” Musical Group of Beniarjó and a student at the Conservatory of Castelló, will provide live music.
During the event, the jury's verdict will be announced. The jury is composed of Teresa Pascual, Joan Navarro, Ricard Garcia, Josep Lluís Roig, and Consol Martínez Bella. The winner will address the audience and sign their work at the end of the ceremony.
As a notable novelty this year, for the first time, the winner will receive a symbolic sculpture created by artist Llorenç Escrivà, which will henceforth represent this literary recognition. All programming related to the prize is free and open to the public.
Additionally, coinciding with the award ceremony and the Sant Marc festivities, the streets of Beniarjó will host the Art entre Balcons exhibition from April 11 to April 28. This initiative, which will fill the municipality with creativity, will officially open on the morning of April 19 with the presence of several participating painters.
