Adif has tendered the drafting of a project to improve evacuation, ventilation, and accessibility conditions at Gandia station, with an investment of over 600,000 euros and potential European co-financing.

The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has informed the Gandia City Council about the tender for the project's drafting, valued at 658,179.5 euros. This initiative aims to optimize safety and service conditions at the station, which serves as the head of the C-1 commuter line.
The tendered contract, part of the Comunitat Valenciana Commuter Plan, includes the analysis and implementation of new emergency exits. The primary goal is to reduce evacuation routes, ensuring they meet accessibility criteria and incorporate fire protection and anti-intrusion systems.
Furthermore, the installation of a smoke extraction system on platforms and their sectorization in front of communication hubs will be studied. Existing fire detection and extinguishing systems will also be upgraded to enhance user safety.
This significant action for Gandia's railway infrastructure may be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), highlighting the project's importance for the region.
