A 2.6 Magnitude Earthquake in Oliva Felt in La Safor and Marina Alta

A 2.6 magnitude earthquake with its epicenter in Oliva was recorded yesterday Monday at 9:53 PM, felt in several towns in the regions of La Safor and Marina Alta, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center (CICU).

The CICU indicated that the 112 phone line received a citizen call related to the tremor. The Valencian Meteorology Association (Avamet) noted on its X account that the earthquake was felt in “many towns” in the affected regions.
According to details from the National Geographic Institute (IGN) on social media, the earthquake occurred southwest of Oliva, at a depth of eight kilometers. Oliva is a municipality located southeast of the province of Valencia, in the region of La Safor, and borders the province of Alicante.
