“"What is concerning is that the Government acts again based on campaigns and headlines, instead of guaranteeing constant and effective maintenance throughout the year. Gandia does not need more institutional propaganda or political cosmetic changes; it needs basic services that work every day, well-maintained neighborhoods, and management that is noticeable on the streets rather than in press releases."

The Popular Party of Gandia has positively assessed the cleaning actions but warned that the announcement of intensive cleaning demonstrates the ineffectiveness of ordinary maintenance for months.
The head of Basic Services and deputy spokesperson for the PP of Gandia has indicated that if the Socialist Government now has to launch intensive cleaning and reinforce actions, it is because ordinary cleaning and daily maintenance have not functioned correctly. In their opinion, the government's own note acknowledges that the action will be extensive and prolonged, which shows that the problem already existed.
The spokesperson recalled that they have been denouncing this situation for a long time, warning that Gandia needed “fewer plans and presentations and more street cleaning.” They criticized the abandonment of neighborhoods, the deterioration of infrastructure, the lack of cleanliness, and the poor condition of containers.
Furthermore, they have insisted on other public complaints about the proliferation of junk in the streets and bad odors in different parts of the city. Therefore, they believe that this announcement does not refute their criticisms but rather reinforces them.
The spokesperson added that if the Socialist Government assures that it allocates more than 20 million euros annually to these services, residents have even more right to demand real, visible, and sustained results. They emphasized that a clean city is not built with isolated announcements but with serious management, planning, and consistency.
