"It is a source of pride to once again present this race, whose objective is to promote equality and women's sports."
The Councillor for Equality highlighted the atmosphere of unity generated in each edition, with increasing participation of women and growing involvement from the public. The event, organized by the Safor Teika Athletics Club, has the support of various institutions, companies, and associations.
The president of the organizing club thanked the support of the Gandia City Council, neighboring municipalities, sponsors, and especially, the thousands of women who year after year make this great event possible. He recalled that the race was born with the aim of making women visible in sports and that, after 16 editions, it has consolidated as an essential event.
In addition, parallel activities such as the Runner's Fair, which will be held in the Prado during the previous Friday and Saturday, were highlighted, as well as the festive atmosphere that will accompany the day with music, Zumba, and activities at the finish line.
One of the fundamental pillars of the race is its charitable aspect. Part of the proceeds this year will go to the Spanish Foundation for Prion Diseases, which investigates rare and serious diseases.

"It is the most feminine sporting, recreational, and egalitarian event on Gandia's sports calendar. It is a spectacular image to see thousands of women running together through the emblematic streets of the city, sharing sports and intergenerational coexistence."
The Councillor for Sports noted that the figure of 5,000 participants is expected to be surpassed again. The race, approximately 5.9 kilometers long, is adapted to all levels, allowing participation by both running and walking. The start and finish lines will be located on Avenida de las Esclavas, with the start scheduled for 10:30 AM.
Registrations will remain open until midnight on Tuesday, April 21. Participants will receive detailed information by email and can collect their bib numbers at the Runner's Fair or on the day of the event. The organization has called on all citizens to participate and support the event, whether by running, walking, or cheering on the participants, on a day that will once again make Gandia a benchmark for women's sports and solidarity.
