The Club Deportivo de Pesca Gandia achieved significant success in the Valencian Community Sport Fishing Corcheo-Mar Championship, held in Pinedo, securing two podium finishes and qualifying three of its members for the national championship.

The competition, organized by the Valencia Delegation of the FPCV, took place last weekend, April 18 and 19, in the ZPC of Pinedo (Valencia). It saw the participation of 29 athletes, 13 of whom belonged to the Club Deportivo de Pesca Gandia, demonstrating a strong presence from the Safor club.
The championship consisted of three four-hour sessions, where the athletes from Gandia displayed a high level of skill. Among the most notable performances, Jonatan Rodrigo Toledo secured second place, earning a silver medal with 4,715 points. Meanwhile, Vicente Giner Ramón finished in third place with 4,570 points, and Pedro Villada Colmenar achieved a commendable fourth position.
This championship served as a direct qualifying event for the Spanish Championship. Thanks to their results, the three aforementioned athletes—Jonatan Rodrigo Toledo, Vicente Giner Ramón, and Pedro Villada Colmenar—have secured their spots for the national event. They will represent CD Pesca Gandia and the Valencian Community in this competition, which will be held in the Port of Cartagena (Murcia) from June 4 to 7, 2026.
