“"The festival will go beyond music and offer an extensive cultural and advocacy program, with talks, an associations fair, a 'rutapa' (tapas route), and a march for equality under the slogan 'For a diverse, open, and plural Cullera'."
As a pre-festival activity, Cullera will inaugurate on May 17, coinciding with the International Day Against LGTBIfobia, the first photographic exhibition dedicated to the LGTBIQ+ memory of the city and its region. This exhibition, titled Cullera: ploma i carrer!, offers a journey through the nights of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, a time of great effervescence and freedom.
The exhibition, which will open on Sunday, May 17, at 7 PM in the Casa de la Enseñanza de Cullera, will recover the history of emblematic places such as the Chelsea, Bar Tango, Xúquer, Babel Rita, La Burra de Sueca, La Faraona, or Charo Granados. It will include unpublished materials such as flyers, posters, and personal objects, allowing the public to connect with this collective memory.
