The club was represented by five players. In the children's category (U14), Agnés Núñez de Arenas from Sueca participated. In the cadet category (U16), the representatives were Eric Rivera from Corbera, Nacho Airós from Cullera, Isabel Colomer from Alzira, and Francisco Fiorito, an Argentine established in Sueca. The entity wanted to highlight the commitment of all of them to defend the colors and values of the school throughout the territory.
In terms of results, Agnés Núñez de Arenas achieved the women's runner-up title in the children's category, culminating a great performance that allows her to add, for the fourth consecutive year, an award in the most emblematic competition of Valencian youth chess.
The greatest successes came in the cadet category, where the Escola Escacs Ribera Baixa dominated with authority. Isabel Colomer was proclaimed autonomous women's champion for the second consecutive year, consolidating her hegemony. For his part, Francisco Fiorito delivered an impeccable tournament to win the absolute and men's autonomous title, after winning all seven games played.
These results confirm the great form of the Sueca club, which continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark in the training of young talents in Valencian chess. Furthermore, the success continues at the national level, as Francisco Fiorito, Isabel Colomer, and Agnés Núñez de Arenas have been selected to represent the Valencian Community in the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Teams, which will be held in Padrón from June 29 to July 3.
The entity has expressed its satisfaction, pride, and honor that three players trained at the club will defend the Valencian colors in one of the most prestigious youth chess events at the national level.
