New Copper Cable Theft Causes Delays on C-2 Commuter Line

The incident, reported between the towns of Almussafes and Silla, has led to delays of up to 26 minutes on Renfe trains.

A new copper cable theft between the towns of Almussafes and Silla has caused significant delays on Renfe's C-2 commuter line since early Monday morning.

The delays began at the start of service, affecting several trains. For instance, the train scheduled to depart at 05:25 AM bound for l'Alcúdia was running fifteen minutes late as it passed through Algemesí.
Similarly, the train departing at 06:37 AM from València Nord station towards Gandia left fifteen minutes behind schedule. Another train, departing at 06:50 AM for Xàtiva, experienced a 26-minute delay when passing through Algemesí.
Renfe technicians are working in the affected area to resolve the incident and restore normal service. The company estimates that the average delays on this commuter line are approximately 15 minutes.
