Gurugú Beach in Castelló will be the setting for a free 'sunset beach party' this Saturday, May 9, featuring a stellar performance by Jamaican artist Skarra Mucci, organized by Solé Rototom Beach.

The event, linked to the Rototom Sunsplash festival, will start at 5:00 PM and extend until sunset, offering a live music experience with the Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop. The gathering aims to recreate the spirit of the renowned SunBeach, the satellite stage that accompanies the Rototom Sunsplash every summer in Benicàssim.
Skarra Mucci, born in Jamaica and residing in Germany, is considered one of the most appreciated contemporary dancehall artists in Spain. His vocal versatility and ability to fuse styles such as reggae and hip hop have earned him a solid international career. His performance in Castelló, scheduled from 8:00 PM, promises to be one of the highlights of the day.
Before the main act, the party will feature a selection of local and regional talent. Valencian Xino DJ and the Castelló collective Youthical Vybez will take turns at the mixing desk, offering a journey through the history of Jamaican music, from ska and rocksteady to more contemporary styles.

"We wanted to propose a family-friendly event, for all types of audiences, where music and the sea are the protagonists. It's a Saturday afternoon, at a time when Gurugú Beach transforms into the epicenter of the 'tardeo' in Castelló. The idea is for people to dance on the sand, enjoy the surroundings, and have a different experience."

The organization emphasizes the open and accessible nature of the event, which includes free admission to facilitate access to culture and create an inclusive space. In addition to the music, the event invites attendees to enjoy the chiringuito's gastronomic offerings and the relaxed atmosphere that characterizes this Mediterranean enclave. The schedule has been designed to allow coexistence with the environment and the diverse beach-going public, without interfering with nighttime rest.
