The historic night, titled The Last Hug, will be free of charge and open to all attendees. This decision was made by the department to ensure the event is accessible to the entire community. Festival Councilor, Gemma Alós, emphasized that the group is part of Alzira's recent history and deserves an emotional farewell from their people.
The performance, scheduled for the eve of Sant Bernat, is expected to be the highlight of the main festivities, drawing fans from across La Ribera and the Valencian Community. The band, known for its energy and commitment to the Valencian language, will thus conclude a significant chapter in their career.
The band's vocalist, Artur Martínez, shared the group's emotion about saying goodbye at home. "Being able to close this chapter in front of our people is a privilege and a responsibility," he stated, anticipating an intense night filled with lasting memories.
With this farewell in the capital of La Ribera Alta, La Fúmiga solidifies its position as a benchmark in Valencian music. The Alzira City Council invites residents and visitors to participate in this tribute to a band that has represented the city on numerous stages.
