The Castellón Provincial Council is promoting the itinerant exhibition ‘Diversity in CAPITAL LETTERS’ to raise awareness about sexual and gender diversity, coinciding with the International Day Against LGTBIphobia and Pride Day.

The institution's Equality department has organized this exhibition with the aim of fostering a province where all people feel free and proud of who they are, promoting normalization and respect for diversity. The Deputy for Equality, Marisa Torlà, stated, “We want to foster a province where all people can feel free and proud of who they are, in all spaces and in all municipalities of the province. And, to achieve this, we are promoting this exhibition to normalize and respect diversity”.
After being displayed at the CEDES centers in Morella and Albocàsser, the exhibition has moved to Vall d’Alba, where it can be visited until May 26. The exhibition aims to “raise awareness about the importance of inclusion and respect for diversity in different areas essential for people's lives, promoting a message of equality and visibility for the LGTBIQ+ community,” explained the provincial deputy.
Through a visual and educational narrative, the exhibition offers a journey through each of the letters that make up the LGTBIQ+ acronym, giving voice to the diverse sexual orientations and identities within the community. It addresses topics such as discrimination, inclusion, and the struggles for equal rights, establishing “a comparison between our context and the international context, in order to reflect on the progress of rights acquired in our country,” emphasized Torlà.
‘Diversity in CAPITAL LETTERS’ can be visited in Vall d’Alba until May 26, from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 14:00. Subsequently, from May 27 to June 15, it will be on display at CEDES Llucena, and from June 16 to 24, it can be visited at CEDES Segorbe.
