The SOM Festival, set to take place at the Castellón Nautical Club from July 17 to August 8, today unveiled its lineup for this year. The event boasts a broad and eclectic roster, merging music, culture, gastronomy, and leisure in a seaside experience.
The presentation was attended by the Mayoress of Castellón, Begoña Carrasco; the President of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rubén Ibáñez; and organizational representatives José Luis Iraavedra and Gonzalo Peña. Details were shared for an edition aiming to establish Castellón as a summer cultural hub in the Valencian Community and the Mediterranean region.
Begoña Carrasco highlighted the festival's inter-institutional collaboration with the Port and the Royal Nautical Club of Castellón, stating it positions the city significantly on national and international stages. Rubén Ibáñez emphasized the event's impact as a social, cultural, and economic driver for El Grau and the province, underscoring the goal of opening the port to the public with accessible, quality programming.
According to Iraavedra, the festival serves as a tool for territorial transformation through culture. The lineup includes artists such as Pablo López, Rosana, Sergio Dalma, Iván Ferreiro, Siloé, Los Delinqüentes, Siempre Así, Los Morancos, and Plácido Domingo.
The festival maintains its family-friendly character with offerings like "Rock en Família", designed for live music sharing between children and adults, and "Tardeo Remember", dedicated to nostalgic dance music. Also featured is Hey Kid, one of the most promising emerging voices in the current music scene.
