Rigalli Alginet has concluded its remarkable season with a defeat against Damex Algeciras, 93-70, in the repêchage match for promotion to Segunda FEB. The local team, which had achieved the feat of finishing the regular season undefeated, could not materialize its dream against the solid performance of the Cadiz team, which thus secures the third ticket to the third tier of national basketball.

The game, played at the Alginet arena, saw Algeciras display a firm and accurate game, especially from the second quarter onwards. Despite the push from the local fans, Alginet tried to play too fast in the first half, ending the first period with a 26-21 lead for the visitors. The difference widened to 20 points by halftime (53-33), making the game very difficult for the Valencian team.

In the second half, Rigalli Alginet attempted a comeback with more aggressive defense and quicker baskets, but Algeciras managed its lead calmly and accurately from the 6.75 line. The quarter scores of 20-15 in the third and 20-22 in the final quarter confirmed Algeciras's victory by a 23-point margin.

The defeat left tears and frustration in the arena, despite the team's spectacular season, which achieved the historic feat of being the only Third FEB team to finish the regular league without losing a single game. The competition was tough, but Alginet fought until the last second.
