The measure aims to strengthen municipal support for entities competing in top national categories. To facilitate the clubs' financial management, the council has established a 70% advance payment of the total granted amount, representing an initial disbursement of 411,600 euros.
As indicated by the Councilor for Sports, this advance system responds to a commitment made to the entities to prevent them from having to use their own resources to cover competition expenses. The remaining 30% of the grant will be paid once the justification of the amount and the corresponding activity report are submitted, with a deadline of September 15, 2026.
In addition to elite aid, the Board has approved the projects for the 2026-2027 Municipal Sports Promotion Program. This initiative includes sports schools, municipal games, activities for people with disabilities, and school campaigns, with the goal of consolidating the city as a benchmark for sports practice.
