The initiative will involve the participation of the Canine Unit (UCAN) and the Tutor Agent Unit, who will act jointly in all districts through specific deployments at strategic times. The main objective of this action is to strengthen prevention against the consumption of narcotic substances among minors and young people.
To this end, the UCAN will carry out detection tasks and preventive controls in the vicinity of schools and institutes. Meanwhile, the Tutor Agents will be responsible for maintaining direct coordination with management teams and monitoring any incidents that may be detected.
The campaign has been designed with an eminently preventive approach and in collaboration with the educational community. The figure of the Tutor Agent plays a key role in maintaining permanent contact with school officials, which facilitates immediate communication and a coordinated response with teaching teams and families when necessary.
“"The campaign is born with the objective of strengthening prevention and continuing to work closely with educational centers and families. The aim is to ensure that school environments are safe spaces free from any situation related to drug consumption or possession."
In addition to control tasks, the initiative aims to raise awareness about the risks associated with drug use at early ages and promote prevention as a fundamental tool to avoid risky behaviors. The visible presence of agents also seeks to convey peace of mind to families and contribute to consolidating safer school environments.
The collaboration between the Canine Unit and the Tutor Agent Unit allows for more complete and effective work, by combining the operational capacity of the UCAN with the direct knowledge that tutor agents have of the daily reality of educational centers. These types of campaigns do not only seek to sanction certain behaviors, but above all to prevent, raise awareness, and protect minors.
