A new cable theft on the Valencia commuter rail infrastructure, specifically between La Pobla Llarga and Alzira, has caused delays exceeding half an hour since early Wednesday morning on the C2 line trains.

According to Adif, the railway operator of the line, the incident occurred around 05:00 AM. Due to a copper theft affecting the signaling system, delays may occur in both directions of the C2 line, which connects Valencia with Xàtiva and Moixent. Technicians are already working to resolve the issue.
Since the start of the day, train services have experienced delays from the stations of L'Alcúdia and València Nord in both directions. Renfe indicated that the average delays are around 25 minutes.
This copper theft is the third recorded in just a couple of weeks and the seventh incident this year on the railway network.
