The Castelló City Council has invested 850,000 euros in the asphalting of Camí l'Obra, located in the La Marjalería area, with the aim of improving road safety and addressing a historical neighborhood demand.

The works, which are being carried out on a section connecting Camí de les Villes with Serradal, starting from the Ermita de Sant Francesc de la Font, cover an area of approximately 19,700 square meters. This road is one of the most heavily trafficked in La Marjalería, especially during the summer season.

"As public servants, our obligation is to meet the needs of our neighbors. This work is another example of the government team's commitment to improving the quality of life in an area as important to us as the marshland."

Sergio Toledo · Councillor for Urban Planning and Infrastructure of Castelló
The Councillor for Urban Planning and Infrastructure, Sergio Toledo, highlighted that this action responds to a 40-year-old neighborhood demand, as this road had not been intervened since its creation. The works focus on improving the road surface and enhancing road safety.
Prior to the start of the asphalting, tasks such as clearing, milling of the road surface, sanitation of the most damaged areas, and drainage of the ditch parallel to the road have been carried out. Additionally, the renewal of both horizontal and vertical signage is planned. The execution period is ten weeks, so the works are expected to be completed before summer.
