A 53-year-old man died this Sunday after the car he was traveling in veered off the A-3 highway, near the municipality of Caudete de las Fuentes (Plana d’Utiel-Requena).

According to the Center for Information and Coordination of Emergencies (CICU), the accident occurred around 05:52 AM, when a report was received of a car leaving the road at kilometer 268 of the A-3 heading towards Valencia.

A SAMU ambulance and an SVB (Basic Life Support) vehicle were dispatched, and paramedics attended to a 46-year-old man who had suffered a rib injury and was taken to Requena Hospital.

In addition to this injured person, the death of another man, aged 53, has been confirmed, the CICU added.

Firefighters from the Requena station intervened in the accident to rescue a person traveling in the vehicle. According to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Valencia, this person was also attended to by medical services.
