Around 14,000 people have been left without electricity in Utiel, Requena, and other towns in the region due to a truck impacting a power line.

A traffic accident has caused a massive blackout, leaving Utiel, Requena, and other municipalities like Villargordo del Cabriel without electricity. The incident has affected approximately 14,000 people in the Plana de Utiel-Requena region.
According to initial reports, a truck is believed to have knocked down a high-voltage power line. Although the accident occurred in the province of Albacete, its consequences have been felt in the Valencian Community, as it affected a substation that provides service to Valencian territory.
The Requena City Council has reported that the accident interrupted the 132 kV line that supplies electricity to Requena and Utiel. The utility company estimates that power restoration could take around three hours.
