The city of Vila-real will host from April 23 to 25 the new edition of Vilaciència at the Congress, Fairs and Meetings Center, an event that strengthens its international projection and growth.

This event, promoted by Santa María School and the Vila-real City Council, reaches its sixth Science Fair and the fourth edition of the competition. The main objective is to continue awakening scientific vocations among young people.
This year's edition will feature 140 participating students, of whom 60 are boys and 80 are girls, as well as 50 projects selected from the 70 submitted. These figures reflect the consolidation of an initiative that also expands its international dimension with the presence of centers from Turkey, Portugal, and Brazil, along with projects from other parts of Spain and the Valencian Community.
The fair will be open to the general public and expects to receive around 1,000 students from educational centers in Vila-real, the region, and other institutions. For three days, the venue will host stands with workshops and exhibitions on robotics, drones, technology, or photography, in addition to the presentation of scientific works prepared by the students.

"The continuous growth of Vilaciència, both in participation and project quality, demonstrates the interest of young people in science and research, and positions Vila-real as a benchmark in promoting scientific talent and connecting with other territories."

From Santa María School, they have also highlighted the project's trajectory since its launch in the 2018-2019 academic year. A spokesperson for the center noted that Vilaciència has managed to grow without losing its essence, focused on awakening scientific curiosity and offering students a real space to investigate and learn.
The inaugural day will include a didactic talk on the adaptability of living beings by a science communicator, biologist, and zoologist.
A spokesperson for the organization explained that the competition is organized into three main modalities: health and environment sciences, pure sciences, and technology. Additionally, it will feature a jury composed of more than 20 professionals from various fields. The organization will distribute 10,000 euros in prizes, including scholarships to participate in other national and international competitions, as well as special recognitions linked to innovation in the ceramic and scientific fields.
With this new edition, Vila-real reinforces its commitment to education, innovation, and external projection through an event that turns science into a meeting point for young researchers from different territories.
