The Moncofa City Council will allocate four million euros from the positive surplus of 2025 to promote various improvement actions in the municipality during 2026, including the pedestrianization of Plaza de la Constitución and the renovation of services.

This amount comes from the positive surplus of the 2025 fiscal year, which has exceeded six million euros, and will be used to improve municipal services and develop projects considered priorities. This favorable economic result will allow the council to undertake significant investments without compromising budgetary stability, thus consolidating a management approach based on the balance between income and expenses.
Among the initiatives to be materialized are the pedestrianization of Plaza de la Constitución, work on the municipal trinquet, the implementation of an ambitious asphalt plan, as well as the execution of works contemplated in the sewerage master plan.
These actions are complemented by the reorganization of traffic in the northern area of the municipality and the acquisition of new containers linked to the waste collection and street cleaning contract. All of this aims to improve the quality of life of residents and optimize the functioning of public services.

"It is fundamental to adjust budget execution to real forecasts, especially in chapters related to expenditure, to prevent possible deviations that could negatively affect economic planning. A budgetary imbalance could result in the paralysis of necessary projects or the obligation to resort to tax increases that would directly fall on citizens."
