The deputy mayor and councilor for Culture, Maria Fajardo, presented the summer program, coordinated by the Culture department with the collaboration of various councilors. The aim is to enhance El Termet as a climate refuge, a citizen meeting point, and a space for coexistence during the hot months.
The slogan 'Viu l’estiu al Termet' is maintained to highlight the natural park and offer a varied program for all audiences. The initiative will begin on July 5th with the traditional Festa del Termet, which will include the rosary, mass, popular food stalls, and a concert by the Unió Musical La Lira.
One of the main novelties will be the expansion of activities for early childhood at Les Caballerisses, with theater sessions for babies incorporating music, lights, and sensory stories. For seniors, workshops such as 'Refresca’t a la fresca' and 'Summer Chef' have been designed, focusing on healthy eating and summer habits.
Music will play a prominent role with lyrical, chamber, folk, flamenco, band, and plectrum group concerts in various locations. The program also includes circus, family and adult theater, storytelling, traditional dances, theatrical visits to the Museu Etnològic, creative workshops, family gincanas, and exhibitions.
A new cycle, 'Entre Pins i Sabors', will feature tastings of local products with live music, highlighting regional and 'kilometer zero' produce. Additionally, the program will include special activities for the solar eclipse on August 12th, with educational workshops and an itinerant show by Xarxa Teatre.
The offering will be complemented by extended hours for the free 'Groguet' service to facilitate access to the park. Fajardo encouraged citizens to participate in this diverse program, which joins other initiatives from the Equality and Sports departments. The full program will be available from next Monday on municipal totems, the municipal website, social media, and WhatsApp.
