Villarreal CF returns to play at its home stadium, La Cerámica, after more than a month, to face Celta de Vigo in a decisive match for its European aspirations.

The Yellow Submarine aims to secure three points that would place them just one unit away from qualifying for the next edition of Europe's top club competition. The last time Villarreal CF played at home was on March 20, in a 3-1 victory against Real Sociedad.
Since then, the team has played three away matches, with a victory at San Mamés, a draw at Carlos Tartiere, and a defeat at Montilivi. Meanwhile, La Cerámica hosted a match for the Spanish national team.
Celta de Vigo, for its part, arrives at this encounter needing to accumulate points in its fight to qualify for European spots. They currently sit in seventh place, tied with Getafe and only two points ahead of Real Sociedad. However, the visiting team has only managed to secure four points from the last eighteen available.
Regarding absences, Villarreal CF will be without injured players Juan Foyth and Logan Costa, who are still recovering from long-term injuries. The participation of Uruguayan international Santiago Mouriño is doubtful, as he suffered a strong blow to his left ankle in the last match. Conversely, coach Marcelino García recovers Santi Comesaña, who returns after a suspension, and forward Gerard Moreno, both of whom will return to the starting lineup. Celta will be without Carl Starfelt, Matías Vecino, and Williot Swedberg.
