The sixth edition of Vilaciència, promoted by Santa María school and Vila-real City Council, will take place from April 23 to 25 at the Congress, Fairs and Meetings Center, with a record participation of 140 students and 50 selected projects.
This event, which aims to foster scientific vocations among young people, has selected 50 projects from the 70 submitted. Participation includes 60 boys and 80 girls, demonstrating the consolidation of the event in its fourth competition and sixth fair.
The fair strengthens its international dimension with the presence of educational centers from Turkey, Portugal, and Brazil. Additionally, it features projects from 13 autonomous communities, 16 from Valencian towns, and 14 from Vila-real itself.
During the three-day event, the venue will host stands with workshops and exhibitions on robotics, drones, technology, and photography. Approximately 1,000 students from educational centers in Vila-real and the region, as well as from other educational institutions, are expected to visit.

"The constant growth of Vilaciència in both participation and project quality demonstrates young people's interest in science and research. The international projection achieved by the event positions Vila-real as a benchmark in promoting young scientific talent and connecting with other territories."
The competition is structured into three modalities: health and environment sciences, pure sciences, and technology. A jury composed of over 20 professionals will evaluate the projects, and 10,000 euros in prizes will be awarded, including scholarships to participate in other national and international competitions, as well as special awards linked to innovation in the ceramic and scientific fields.
