The Vila-real City Council has delivered a Solidarity Check of 3,045 euros to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, as a result of the second edition of the Fem Xulla initiative, held on January 31.

The Fem Xulla initiative, proposed by the Vila-real Hospitality and Leisure Association (ASHIOVI), and with the collaboration of the Peñas Commission and neighborhood associations, aims to promote the traditional 'xulla', declared a Provincial Tourist Interest Festival.
This project seeks to consolidate the 'xulla' as a major gastronomic and participatory event beyond the patron saint festivities, while also raising funds for charitable causes.
The handover ceremony, which took place in the town, was attended by the Councillor for Citizen Participation and Neighborhoods, as well as the president of the Caixa Rural Vila-real Foundation and representatives of the groups involved in organizing the event.
