According to information from the General Directorate of Traffic, the incident took place on the N-340a road, at kilometer 969.5, heading north towards the northern entrance of Vila-real.

The alert from the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (112) places the accident time at 7:38 AM. The incident occurred in the province of Castellón, within the municipal area of Vila-real, a key point for travel between both towns.
