The ceramic group STN plans to consolidate its activity in Moncofa with three strategic initiatives: a new cogeneration turbine, the construction of a bridge to connect its plants, and the expansion of industrial land.

The most immediate initiative is the commissioning of a third natural gas cogeneration turbine at the Cerámicas Tesany plant. This turbine, which has already been authorized, will produce electricity for self-consumption, with a capacity of up to 21,888 kilowatts. This will allow the plant to cover its energy needs and even generate surpluses. The factory already has two turbines installed in 2021 and has space for a fourth in the future.
In parallel, Cerámicas Tesany is processing a modification of the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI) to expand its three existing ceramic production lines with two additional ones at its Plant 2 in Moncofa.
Furthermore, procedures are advancing to improve the internal connectivity of the industrial complex with the construction of a bridge. Modification 1/2020 of Moncofa's Subsidiary Regulations, already approved, will allow the ceramic group to build this elevated passage over the street separating the facilities. The bridge will connect the atomized clay production plant with the ceramic flooring and cladding manufacturing plant. According to a municipal spokesperson, this measure will prevent trucks from circulating outside and facilitate the movement of materials and infrastructure between the plants.

"We want to provide all facilities to companies so that they choose to establish themselves in the Casablanca industrial park, and this one in particular is very beneficial for job creation in Moncofa."

The development of Sector 2 Industrial Casablanca is in a more delayed phase. Following the disengagement of the previous urban developer in June last year, the STN group has acquired approximately 125,000 square meters of industrial land and plans to promote its own Integrated Action Program (PAI) to develop the sector and foster the growth of the industrial park.
This restart of urban development contrasts with the situation in the Execution Unit of Industrial Sector 4, where the City Council has completed all procedures. The company Cartonajes Europa has already transferred the roads to the council, thus culminating an urban plan initiated in the mid-1990s for its establishment in Moncofa. This formalization will allow the company to consider a possible expansion of its facilities in the future.
