The Onda City Council has presented a special program for May and June, marking the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia and the International LGTBI+ Pride Day, under the slogan 'Onda as diverse as you'.

This initiative seeks to promote awareness, coexistence, and the visibility of diversity through culture, education, and citizen participation. The Councillor for Equality emphasized that the program aims to build a more inclusive city, where all individuals feel represented, respected, and free to live as they are.

"The defense of equality is part of this City Council's daily commitment to a more just and open society."

The campaign will run throughout May and June, with proposals aimed at different audiences. Activities include family training, storytelling, institutional events, and cultural events that invite reflection and the celebration of diversity.
The program will kick off on Saturday, May 9, with the family training 'Educating in sexual and gender diversity', accompanied by a simultaneous storytelling session based on the work La peluca de Luca. This activity, taking place from 10:00 to 12:30 at Aula Natura, in the Pinada del Ermitorio del Santísimo Salvador, aims to provide families with tools to address diversity with respect and naturalness from an early age. Interested individuals can sign up for free.

"Educating in equality from childhood is fundamental to preventing discrimination and building coexistence based on mutual respect."
