For five days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy literary presentations, workshops, storytelling sessions, author encounters, and participatory proposals that transform reading into a shared and accessible experience. The aim is to consolidate this event as one of the most outstanding cultural events on the local calendar.
“"The Book Fair is an opportunity to bring literature closer to Onda's residents from an open and dynamic perspective, creating meeting spaces between authors, readers, and families. We continue to commit to a quality cultural program that fosters reading habits and strengthens the municipality's cultural life."
The Fair will kick off on Wednesday, May 20, with the official inauguration and activities such as a family storytelling session, a live literary podcast, and musical proposals linked to literature. Additionally, citizen participation will be encouraged from the outset with the collective creation of the fair's story, an initiative that will run throughout the program.
The program includes the presence of leading authors from the national literary scene, such as Nativel Preciado, Azorín Award winner; Jorge Molist, Fernando Lara Novel Award winner; and local Onda authors, Paul Pen and María Frisa, among others, who will present their latest works and engage with the attending public.
Throughout the Fair, the stands of participating bookstores and publishers (Amics, Batidora Ediciones, Colorins, Ediciones Hades, Editorial Sargantana, La Copiona, País del Mar, Porxes-Mariner, and Unaria Ediciones) will offer special discounts, encouraging the purchase of books and access to culture. The City Council highlights the fundamental role of these establishments in the cultural and economic revitalization of the municipality.
