The new system will allow officers to reduce time spent on bureaucratic tasks through advanced language processing. The tool will facilitate the generation of drafts and provide immediate access to updated regulations, protocols, and documentary bases during operations. With this implementation, the council aims for officers to dedicate more time to preventive tasks, surveillance, and direct citizen attention.
The Councilor for Citizen Security of Onda, Paco Pastor, explained that "this initiative represents a further step in modernizing the Onda Local Police and in the City Council's commitment to incorporating useful tools that allow us to improve the service we provide to residents." He also emphasized that "technology does not replace police judgment, but it helps to streamline processes and improve officers' daily response capacity."
The new tool is designed as an operational and administrative support system to optimize internal processes and improve the efficiency of daily police work. Its functionalities include assistance in quickly consulting legislation and municipal ordinances, as well as agile access to internal procedures and technical support resources during interventions. The platform also incorporates mechanisms aimed at ensuring data protection and the confidentiality of information used during police operations, in compliance with current regulations.
Through this measure, the Onda Local Police continues to move towards a more modern, agile security model adapted to new operational needs. The integration of artificial intelligence complements the force's commitment to continuous training and agent specialization. During 2025, the force conducted 96 courses and over 2,800 hours of specialized training.
Currently, the Onda Local Police is conducting a specialized course on tactical police takedowns and operational defense, taught by expert instructors with the participation of 24 officers from various municipalities. The training combines theoretical and practical sessions focused on intervention, control, and immobilization techniques, as well as operational protocols aimed at enhancing the safety of officers and citizens in high-risk or high-tension situations.
