The Onda City Council has presented a special program to celebrate the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, as well as the International LGTBI+ Pride Day, with activities aimed at raising awareness and visualizing diversity.

Under the slogan 'Onda as diverse as you', the initiative promotes awareness, coexistence, and the visibility of diversity through culture, education, and citizen participation. The Councilor for Equality, Marta Villanueva, highlighted that this program aims to build a more inclusive city, where all people feel represented, respected, and free to live as they are.

"The defense of equality is part of this City Council's daily commitment to a more just and open society."

The campaign will run between May and June with proposals aimed at different audiences, from family and educational activities to institutional events and cultural events that invite reflection and the celebration of diversity.
The program will kick off on Saturday, May 9, with the family training 'Educating in sexual and gender diversity', accompanied by a simultaneous storytelling session based on the work La Peluca de Luca, by La Naturadora. This activity will take place from 10:00 to 12:30 in the Aula Natura, in the Pinada del Ermitorio del Santísimo Salvador, and seeks to offer tools to families to address diversity with respect and naturalness from an early age.

"Educating in equality from childhood is fundamental to prevent discrimination and build coexistence based on mutual respect."
