The town of Nules has experienced the grand day of the Sant Vicent parade, with massive participation filling the streets with music, confetti, and joy, culminating in the handover from the Quinta del 99 to the Quinta del 2000.

From early morning, the first rockets announced the start of the festive day in Nules, where few corners could remain untouched by the celebration. The Sant Vicent parade is a marked date for the 'peñas' and 'quintas', bringing together all the elements of a popular festival: massive participation, brass band music, drinks, sweets like buñuelos and mistela, and a collective atmosphere of revelry.
One of the distinctive features of this parade in Nules is the bonfire that, on a pedestal, receives floats, horses, and the general entourage in front of the saint's chapel. Here, the ritual consists of circling the pyre once or twice amidst cheers for Sant Vicent. Dozens of people gather in the street named after the Valencian patron saint, which, despite being one of the widest in the municipality, narrows to add an element of excitement and adrenaline to the challenge, which once again was successfully overcome.
For several hours, thousands of people brought the festive atmosphere through the streets, leaving a visible trail of confetti, another protagonist of the event. The celebration does not end until the Quinta del 99, this year's protagonist, with its three 'clavarios' (one of whom was a woman, an exceptional fact), completes the ritual and the multitudinous entourage returns to the Plaza Mayor. There, the symbolic transfer of responsibility for organizing next year's festival takes place to the Quinta del 2000, with the handing over of the saint's banner that presides over the religious acts.
The Quinta del 99 still had one more event: the evening procession, which recovers the religious component of the festivity. In this, the carving created by Enrique Giner displays a completely renovated image, after having undergone meticulous restoration. Between one act and the other, the most musical aspect of the day was concentrated at the intersection of San Félix and Matías Torrejón streets, where a mobile disco entertained those who still had energy. Another DJ reminded residents of Castellón Avenue and its surroundings that practically no one could remain oblivious to the Sant Vicent festival.
