The project will involve a total investment of 722,550 euros, with the provincial institution contributing 247,380 euros. The intervention will be carried out by the architecture firm El Fabricante de Espheras, author of the proposal that received a special mention in the contest's fourth edition.
The provincial deputy for Ceramic Promotion, Vicente Pallarés, highlighted that this action demonstrates "not only the winning works of each CRU edition are materialized, but also that finalist proposals can become a tangible reality." He emphasized that the contest has established itself as a tool to drive urban space transformation through high-quality architectural projects.
The redevelopment will make Plaza Constitución more accessible and functional, integrating elements linked to local heritage and history. The project also emphasizes the use of ceramics as a primary material, reinforcing the identity of a strategic sector for the province.
According to Pallarés, the execution of this proposal confirms the reach of the Ceramic Regeneration Contest beyond the winning projects, a situation that has previously occurred in municipalities like Canet lo Roig and Vall d'Alba.
Through this intervention, Moncofa will incorporate a proposal selected by a specialized jury within the CRU into its urban landscape. The contest aims to foster architectural innovation and the use of ceramics in improving streets, squares, and public environments across the province.
