A 50-year-old man has been remanded in custody in Castellón after being arrested by the Civil Guard of Vilafamés with 45 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

The Civil Guard of Vilafamés has arrested a 50-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health. The operation was part of crime prevention measures on the communication routes of Castellón province.
The intervention took place on the afternoon of May 28th, in the municipality of Borriol. Officers observed a vehicle that, upon noticing the police presence, made an anomalous maneuver. After being intercepted, the driver was identified.
As a result of this operation, the driver was arrested, and over 45 grams of methamphetamine were seized, which had been hidden inside his vehicle.
The detainee is accused of a crime against public health. Once brought before the judicial authority, the judge ordered his provisional imprisonment, charging him with offenses of disobedience, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of narcotic substances.
The proceedings have been sent to the duty investigating court of Castellón.
