The Ministry of Health has announced that the GVA+ Salut application and the SIP will be inactive for a few hours this Saturday, April 25, due to an update of the IT systems.

The mobile application of the Ministry of Health, GVA+ Salut, has been the subject of debate in recent weeks due to changes in access methods. Initially, the four-digit PIN was removed, replaced by fingerprint or facial recognition. Following complaints and inquiries, the ministry rectified and reinstated the PIN, although it recommends using the new methods for greater security.
These changes also facilitated access to the virtual SIP service, eliminating the need for a physical document to receive care. Additionally, a user manual was created to detail the new features of the application.
Now, the Ministry of Health reports that the application will be temporarily inactive from 0:00 hours until 8:30 hours on Saturday, April 25. The reason is an "update of the IT systems with the aim of improving the stability, security, and performance of the applications that support healthcare assistance".

"During that period, some IT applications will not be operational, such as the SIP or the GVA+ Salut app, as well as other professional use systems."

The Ministry emphasizes that this technical stop "will not affect healthcare activity, as all health centers have contingency procedures that will allow professionals to carry out their work and guarantee adequate healthcare for citizens." All health departments have been informed about this preventive and planned measure to activate the necessary contingency protocols.
