The 28.7-kilometer underground pipeline of the Orange.bat project, driven by Redexis and Smartenergy, will be able to supply green hydrogen to 42 ceramic companies in Onda, Vila-real, and Betxí.

This project, which already obtained the Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI) last year, is now processing the necessary administrative permit with the Generalitat Valenciana to start construction. The green hydrogen distribution network will have two main branches originating from the El Colomer industrial park in Onda.
It is precisely in El Colomer where the Swiss multinational Smartenergy plans to locate its hydrogen production plant. The application for administrative authorization and approval of the execution project for this new distribution network was recently published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana.
The publication opens a 20-day public exhibition period, during which interested parties can consult the project and submit any relevant objections. This initiative represents a significant step towards the decarbonization of the Valencian ceramic sector.
