The Civil Guard has arrested a 33-year-old man in Almenara for an alleged crime against public health, after intercepting 300 grams of the psychoactive drug ALPHA-PHP, known as 'flakka'.

The Civil Guard, in collaboration with Customs Surveillance, has arrested a 33-year-old man in Almenara as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health related to drug trafficking. The joint investigation led to the location of a psychoactive substance hidden in a package originating from a European Union country and destined for the province of Castellón.
The operation began following a joint inspection by both units. Agents detected a suspicious shipment and, during the package inspection, found 300 grams of ALPHA-PHP, a psychoactive drug popularly known as 'flakka'. The substance was hidden inside two boxes.
According to investigation sources, this substance is considered a high-risk synthetic drug due to its stimulant effects and the behavioral alterations it can cause. Following the actions taken, agents proceeded to arrest the suspect, who is attributed with an alleged crime against public health.
The proceedings have been sent to the duty Investigating Court for further legal action.
