The Burriana City Council has begun installing new parquet flooring at the La Bosca indoor football pavilion, a key action to ensure optimal conditions for clubs and Municipal Sports Schools.

This intervention aims to address the deterioration affecting the side and some parts of the playing surface, ensuring a suitable space for daily sports practice. The works, awarded to a specialized company for 8,107 euros, involve removing 80 square meters of parquet damaged by humidity.
In its place, new sports parquet has been installed, including an anti-humidity membrane designed to prevent future damage and ensure material durability. Additionally, the project includes specific repairs to several damaged sections within the playing area, where new wood will be laid and then varnished with professional sports lacquer to unify the surface and eliminate irregularities.

"Step by step, we will ensure that our sports facilities are up to the standard our residents deserve. In just two and a half years, we have made an effort to recover sports facilities and grassroots sports in our city."

This investment complements a comprehensive modernization process at the La Bosca Pavilion, which in recent months has seen the complete renovation of its lighting with LED technology, resulting in energy savings of 65%. The roof has also been repaired with an investment of 18,000 euros, putting an end to a historical problem of leaks that had persisted for over 15 years.
Furthermore, an investment of 700,000 euros from the Diputación de Castellón for the comprehensive renovation of the Sant Blai sports center was recently announced. This ambitious project, made possible by an agreement of 450,000 euros and contributions from the Impulsa Plan, will eliminate architectural barriers, modernize changing rooms and facades, and adapt the venue to host official competitions. The intervention at Sant Blai, a pavilion built in the 1980s, will benefit over 1,000 weekly users of disciplines such as basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, and Valencian pilota.
