The Burriana City Council has taken a decisive step to reactivate the Sant Gregori PAI with the award of a technical and legal assistance contract to the company COMAYPA, following its approval by the Local Government Board.

This agreement allows the council to assume direct management of Sector Sur-T.1 and advance one of the largest urban projects in the Valencian Community. The award means, according to the municipal technical team, "resetting the counter to zero" on a project covering 2.5 million square meters on the coastline, aiming to consolidate it as a new hub for tourism and residential development for the capital of La Plana Baixa.
The contract, valued at 1,172,886.96 euros, will be executed between 2026 and 2027 and will have a maximum duration of 19 months. During this period, COMAYPA will be responsible for drafting documentation, providing continuous advice, and managing the technical and legal procedures necessary for the plan's development.
Its functions include the modification of the partial plan, direct management of the integrated action program, and the promotion of urbanization projects, in addition to support in the expropriation process needed to complete the road ring between Camí la Cossa and the CV-18.
This administrative progress adds to the council's efforts to adapt urban planning and ensure the preservation of archaeological sites from the Roman maritime villa found in the area. This factor has also contributed to the Generalitat's decision to halt the deadlines for the PATIVEL in this area.

"This step marks a turning point after a complex inherited scenario, emphasizing that a new stage is now opening that launches a key project for the transformation of Burriana's maritime facade."

the Councillor for Urban Planning
The direct management of the PAI has the unanimous support of municipal political groups, which reinforces the project's legal certainty and the confidence of owners and investors. The City Council has already recovered more than 9.5 million euros in public funds and has completed the liquidation with the previous urbanizing agent.

"The development of Sant Gregori is progressing with a hopeful future and under better conditions for owners than at the beginning of the legislature."
