Burriana has focused its commemoration of World LGTBI Pride Day on the public validation of its new LGTBI Diagnostic Report, a key document to guide future municipal priorities in equality and diversity.
The event, held at the Archaeological Garden of the Municipal Center of Culture La Mercé, combined the reading of the institutional manifesto with a participatory session open to associations, municipal technical staff, members of Xarxa Salut, individuals from the LGTBI community, and city residents.
The day was not limited to a symbolic act. According to the City Council, the session served to contrast the technical diagnosis results with the experiences and proposals of the attendees, through a dynamic designed to identify local needs and priorities.
The main activity was the workshop “Cinefórum + Dialogue with data,” conceived as a space for collective reflection. After the technical contextualization of the report, the short films “Heartbeat” and “Por un beso” were screened, serving as a starting point for the subsequent discussion.
During the debate, moderated by municipal technicians and a representative of the LGTBI collective, participants connected the emotional realities reflected in the audiovisual pieces with the main results of the local diagnosis.

"This diagnosis is a tool that seeks to open channels for collective reflection and dialogue. The day has allowed us to contrast technical data with the experiences of the attendees and set priorities to continue advancing in equality and diversity."
As a sign of institutional support, the council will illuminate its facade with the colors of the LGTBI flag this Sunday, June 28.
